the A.G.A Group is a specialist in the field of bank erosion prevention and has carried out a number of projects in conjunction with the Environment Agency and Natural England as well as many private clients. The organisation have been carrying out this kind of work for over 20 years and over that time our staff have gained invaluable knowledge in the instillation processes involved in both small and large scale erosion control.

A.G.A 700 and 900 Turf Reinforcement Mats (TRM) are manufactured using 100% coir fibre, machine spun and woven into a flexible mat to protect effectively against long term erosion problems.

The mats are a most effective solution for tough erosion control projects even in the most environmentally sensitive of areas due to their bio-degradability (approx 5-7 years). This allows for use in areas that would otherwise be inaccessible to erosion control projects while not impacting the surrounding habitat. Indeed they can be expected to be colonised by primary species within a matter of weeks allowing for good natural re-growth of eroded banks.
